Linda Balkenbush of rural Kingman and her daughters have been ‘clicking their needles’ for babies as part of  Kansas’ Click for Babies campaign to help bring awareness about normal infant crying and the dangers of shaking an infant.  A few weeks ago, Linda participated in the Cunningham Click for Babies event sponsored by Cunningham Public Library and then organized a knit-in event at Kingman Carnegie Library which was held Monday, Sept. 10.  Pictured above with  participant Jane Ward (seated) are Linda and her daughters.   Left to right, they are Amy, Nicole, Linda, Sara and Cassie.  Together they have knitted/crocheted 56 purple caps.  Linda Sowers, Nancy Wilson and Kerri Steffen also attended the knit-in, but are not pictured.  To learn more about how to help, visit www.clickforbabies.  Caps are being collected until the end of September.  You may drop off caps through Sept. at Kingman Carnegie Library in Kingman.  In Cunningham, drop they by First National Bank and Cunningham Public Library in Cunningham.
