The Kingman County Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 7:00 p.m., June 25, 2012 in the District Court Room on the third floor of the Courthouse in Kingman.
Among the items on the agenda is a special use hearing.  The public noticed published for the hearing reads: “Case No. BZA-SU-12-404.  Unit Petroleum Company, 7130 South Lewis, Suite 1000, Tulsa, OK 74136 requests a conditional special use as an exception to permit the establishment of oil and gas exploration, well pad, ingress and egress, a fresh water pit, and production facilities on property zoned as A-1 Agricultural District. Legal Description: NW/4 NW/4 of Section Twenty-four (24) of Township Twenty-seven (27) South, Range Ten (10) West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Kingman County, Kansas.”
The 6.4 acre location is approximately three miles east and three miles north of Cunningham.
The hearing is open to the public.  After hearing the views and wishes of all persons interested in the case, the Board of Zoning Appeals may close the hearing and render a decision, or the hearing may be recessed and continued without notice.  For more information, contact Stan Goetz, Planning Administrator and Secretary of the Board of Zoning Appeals, at the Courthouse.
