Readers of all ages will explore the night this summer as Cunningham Public Library presents “Dream Big—-Read!” during their summer reading program.  Activities may include stargazing and moon lore, dreams and wishes, space exploration, nocturnal animals, and more.  The Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center will visit Cunningham on Friday, June 15, to help launch summer reading with a rocketry program and trash can launch. Dan Dan the Magic Man will appear in town on Thursday, June 21st to perform a magic show. Watch for more information on the rocketry program and Dan Dan the Magic Man in upcoming issues of the Courier.
The 2012 Summer Reading Program is open to young people, preschool through 5th grade.  The 5-week program will begin June 11th  and will continue through July 13th.  Registration for Dream Big—READ! begins Friday, May 25th.  Stop by the library to pick up a registration form.  All programs are free of charge.
Children who join the summer library program keep their brains active and enter school in the fall ready to learn and ready to succeed.
